In this body of work I have turned my attention to the tools involved in presenting images. I have begun to fabricate the hardware and ephemera that exist on the periphery of image presentation out of porcelain, as a way to exalt them. By taking all the little items such as photo corners, nails, and picture hangers, that support and surround images and placing them in the forefront, I am calling attention to the flatness inherent in printed images—their actual vicarious nature and our reliance on them to experience and stimulate.
